2008 L'Aventure Estate Roussanne

85% Roussanne estate, 15% Viognier estate. As in recent vintages, the 2008 Estate Roussanne continues to show remarkable complexity. The product of roughly 1 ton per acre yields, the 2008 L’Aventure Roussanne is a light golden color, with hints of green in the background. Soft citrus and pear notes are center stage, with honeysuckle waiting in the wings. Rich vanilla and fresh fruit flavors attack the palate, with apricot, pear, melon and apple all playing their role. This wine was aged for 6 months in new, one year old, and two year old oak barrels, and it shows in the long, seamless structure. Finishing long with spicy apple pie notes, the 2008 Estate Roussanne will act as a compliment to fish, shellfish, and white meats. 231 cases (and 9 bottles) produced
