2005 L'Aventure Roussanne
This rich white wine displays a deep mineral note in both the aroma and the taste, derived from our calcareous terrior. Hints of honey and pear in the nose are amplified on the palate, and mix with white peach and spice. Aged in both new and year old French oak, the 2005 Roussanne is not filtered, and displays a lees character from "sur lie" aging, and batonage. While the wine is excellent with more typical pairings like shellfish and seafood, it also makes an excellent foil to white meats. 350 cases produced.
