State Shipping Taxes and Volume Limits

Shipping wine is not as simple as we would all like it to be.  Wine is a sensitive product with an intense aversion to heat and some of our states seem to have an equally intense aversion to personal wine shipments.  Additionally, some states require we collect and remit sales tax while others do not (at least not yet).  Below is a list of sales tax collection and volume limits for states that include those requirements.

Pick Up options at a UPS or FedEx facility

UPS

UPS will hold orders for pick up only at their Customer Centers.  If you want to pick up at a UPS Store you must have a paid mailbox at the store.

For orders to be held at a UPS Customer Center, you must use the Customer Center address and put "hold for pickup" in the Company line.  They will hold your package for 1 week.  You are required to have an ID to pick orders from the customer center.

If you are shipping to a UPS Store mailbox please be sure to include the mailbox number in the address.
