Maddux is from the small town of Winton, just north of Merced, CA. Growing up on a corn and cattle ranch, Maddux’s interest in agriculture was sparked at a young age. In 2018 he moved out to San Luis Obispo to major in AG Business at Cal Poly. After being exposed to the wine industry during his time at Cal Poly, he quickly became fascinated with the wine making process. Maddux is the newest addition to our full-time tasting room staff. On any given day you will be greeted in the tasting room with his infectious smile and his ability to talk your ear off on how important viticulture is in the wine making process. When not at L’Aventure, you might catch Maddux checking out the local restaurant scene north county has to offer.
