Tasting Room Lead

Maddux is from the small town of Winton, just north of Merced, CA. Growing up on a corn and cattle ranch, Maddux's interest in agriculture was sparked at a young age. In 2018 he moved to San Luis Obispo to major in AG Business at Cal Poly. At Cal Poly, Maddux became exposed to the wine industry, and he quickly became fascinated with the wine-making process. This fascination ultimately lead him to us, and he is now one of our full-time tasting room staff.

On any given day you will be greeted in the tasting room by his infectious smile, and his in-depth knowledge of how important viticulture is in the wine-making process. When not at L'Aventure, you might catch Maddux checking out the local restaurant scene in North County.
